Ok so 2 posts in one day! That has to be a record for me! This posts outlines the massive announcement of all the dates for the various celebrations at Disneyland Resort. This is the second year in a row that Disney has done a huge share of information. I suppose it is to encourage multi-day visits. Having a longer range calendar makes it possible to plan out your entire next years visits. So without more blather on my part lets dig in.

Disneyland 70th Anniversary

So let’s lead with the big one. Disneyland will be celebrating their 70th anniversary in 2025. The celebration includes the return of the popular Paint the Night Parade, amazing Wondrous Journeys fireworks, and a new World of Color show. There will also be addition park decorations. Grandma and I made it to Disneyland’s 50th anniversary and it was great! I still have my Gold 50th anniversary ears! A celebration this big calls for a big schedule. The celebration will run from May 16, 2025 through Summer 2026. This gives everyone plenty of time to celebrate the 70th birth of the original magical place.

Walt Disney – A Magical Life Audio-Animatronic Show

As previously announced he new Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic show will open early next year. Now we have a firm date, May 16, 2025. The timing of this show debuting with the 70th Disneyland anniversary is perfect as we celebrate 70 years of the only Disney theme park that Walt visited. This is sure to be a special experience for all guests and a great way to start the 70th celebration.

Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year will return to California Adventure starting January 17, 2025 and running until February 16, 2025. This is a great spring festival and popular favorites should return such as Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession, live musical performances and many different food items.

Anaheim Ducks Day

Ok so I am not a hockey fan, so this one escapes me. This will be happening January 25, 2025 and will feature Anaheim Ducks players. Downtown Disney will also offer a fan zone with entertainment, photo ops, etc. This sounds perfect for hockey fans.

Celebrate Gospel

Cleebrate Gospel is a Disneyland tradition for more than a decade. The annual concert will return on February 8 and 15, 2025 with performances by community choirs from across Southern California and award-winning artists. This is a great spring tradition that I’m sure many people are happy is continuing.

Disneyland After Dark

The Disneyland After Dark is a series of parties and events that take place during the first half of the year. These are extra ticketed events meaning you have to pay extra for them. These include:

• Sweethearts’ Nite. January 21, 23, 28, and February 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 2025. Tickets go on sale starting March 4 and 6, 2025
• 90s Nite. March 4 and 6, 2025 Tickets also on sale starting December 12, 2024
• Star Wars Nite. April 8, 10, 22, 24, 29, and May 1, 4, 6, 2025. This was a big one from last years. Tickets on sale to the general public starting  February 23, 2025
• Pride Nite. June 16 and 18, 2025 Another Disney tradition returns. Details such as ticket sales have yet to be announced.

Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival

Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival will be held February 28, 2025 through April 21, 2025. This popular festival will include two new marketplace themes. There will be food booths featuring unique goodies. Grandma and I will be there for this one!

Season of the Force Disneyland Park

Season of the Force was a hit last year. It is returning from March 28, 2025 through May 11, 2025. Hyperspace Mountain will be returning to Tomorrowland and I am sure many of the food and merchandise items will also return.

Halloween at Disneyland

Halloween is one of the best times of the year. The parks and resorts are decked out for the season. Many rides have great overlays. It is just a great time to visit. For 2025 Halloween celebration starts August 22, 2025 and runs through October 31, 2025. Over a month to experience Halloween as only Disney can bring it.

Oogie Boogie Bash

Part of the Halloween celebration is the extra ticketed Ooogie Boogie Bash. This event is very popular and sells out quickly. The party will be held for a record 31 nights in August, September, and October as follows:

• Aug. 17, 19, 21, 24, 26, 28, 31
• Sept. 2, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30
• Oct. 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28, 31

It is expected that the tickets will go on sale starting in June. This will be a hard ticket to get, I’m sure.

Plaza de la Familia

Plaza de la Familia will return to California Adventure starting August 22, 2025 and running through November 2. This is a long running event that celebrates Coco and the spirit of Día de Los Muertos.

Disneyland Christmas and Holidays

Which brings us to my favorite time to visit. Christmas. For 2025 Christmas celebration takes place from November 14, 2025 through January 7, 2025. The Festival of Holidays returns to Disney California Adventure with a lineup of booths and live entertainment. Of course the decorations are second to none and it is truly a magical time to visit.

Summing up

Wow that was a lot! There are a lot of events happening at the original Happiest Place on Earth in 2025. It would be a great time to visit if you have not visited Disneyland Resort in a while or ever. Grandma and I are going early 2025. It will be our first trip back in over 20 years. I am very much looking forward to experiencing it again for the first time!
