There are tons of blogs, videos, and other sites that cover Disney vacations for parents with kids, Disney adults, Going Solo, etc. You name it there is a site for it. However, I have spent countless hours reading, searching, and watching, but have yet to find a site that caters to us older Disney fans. You know, those of us that are retired or close to it. Just wanting to slow down and have a hassle free, relaxing vacation. These posts are intended to fill the gap.

Here among other things, you will find posts that cover our strategy to just go with the flow, like Crush from Finding Nemo. Crush is a sea turtle that just goes with the current and does not fight it. He does not stress or fret and yet gets to where he is going. He is happy, relaxed, enjoying life and I bet will live longer for it. Grandma and I developed this strategy to enjoy our golden years at the parks. My Dear Daughter and her family also use Crushing It . It works very well for them with young children. The whole family is happier when there is less stress!

Welcome! This is a place where ole grandpa will try to describe what makes a Disney vacation work for us. The Disney experience is magical, no matter how old or young you are.
There is no reason you cannot enjoy a trip to the parks at ANY AGE! Grandma and I are living proof. You just have to do things a bit differently than you did in your younger years. I am here to tell you how. Read on to find out more.

This post covers a major expense point, Where To Stay. Choosing the right resort can really make or break a vacation. Remember that your resort is your sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the parks. It is vital that this home away from home really suites your needs. Grandpa looks at a resort as…

In my old eyes, a vacation is supposed to be relaxing and not an anxiety inducing mad house. The point of going somewhere is to relax, recharge, and to see/do stuff you don’t normally do. In the end you should be able to say. ‘Hey I’m Glad I did that’. Instead, I see folks come…

Starting yesterday Disney killed off Genie+, which some think was the worst post-Covid change that Disney ever came up with. This replaced the Fastpass+ system which replace the old paper Fastness, both of which were Free! That’s right FREE. These free to use line skipping tools were pretty much loved by everyone. Heck, even ol’Grandpa…

Knowledge is Treasure Ol’ Grandpa’s memory ain’t what it used to be. I can remember watching The Wonderful World of Color on our Black and White TV However remembering what I had for breakfast, not so much. So I gotta write stuff down. This post is a place where I will write a bunch of…

As mentioned last time, this post will out line just how Grandma and I use the “Crush” strategy. To review; Crush from Finding Nemo was a laid back sea turtle that just went with the flow. He did not fight the current but just went with it. This is the core of my Disney for…

When we went to the parks in the late 90’s when the kids were kids, we rushed around trying to do everything and ride all the rides. We stayed rope drop to close. It was exhausting, hectic, and a lot of fun. Then we started taking my dear mother-in-law with us on these trips and…
